This morning, I woke up and ran straight to the front door. Why? Cuz I had a feeling my new nendoroid and two figmas would come today!

Today I received a Kokonoe Rin (for some reason, she’s the only one whose name I like better the Asian style) nendoroid, Haruhi Suzumiya summer uniform figma and a Makina Hoshimura figma. Picture after the break.

Just a warning, I don’t have any natural sunlight to take these pictures with so they don’t look that great.

Kokonoe Rin.

By far my favorite nendoroid yet. Not only do I think she’s unbelievably cute in both the anime/manga and in nendoroid form, but her long hair creates the nendoroid tripod effect which eliminates the need for the stand. This is especially helpful cuz she doesn’t fit the stand she came with.

Accessories. Her expressions are so cute!

The Kokonoe Rin nendo features her in her outfit used in the OP and ED and features the ability to copy her dance from the ED. She also comes with sleeve extensions which allow her to put her hands on her hips and her backpack. The pink circular thing is a replacement hoodie hood to use with the backpack.

As I said before, her hair creates the tripod nendoroid effect, eliminating the need for a stand. The stand Rin came with is too small anyways and she can’t sit on it, so the only option is to use her hair.

Kokonoe Rin should be the first of three Kodomo no Jikan nendos, if the description on Hobby Search correct. So far, I haven’t seen any images or heard anything about the other two girls, Kagami Kuro and Usa Mimi, but I will definitely be picking them up when the are released. This also reminds me, but I really can’t wait for the K-On! nendos, especially Yui! She’s my fav character as of right now, but as soon as Azusa premiers on the anime, she’ll be taking Yui’s spot.

Haruhi Suzumiya summer uniform.

So far, there are four different Haruhi Suzumiya figmas that have been released: winter uniform, PS2 ver, cheerleader outfit and now the summer uniform. I have no idea how many more Haruhi’s they’re gonna make, but I keep buying all of them cuz they all offer something new. The reason I bought this summer uniform version was because of her ponytail! I am just like Kyon, I can’t resist a girl in a ponytail.

Accessories.

The summer uniform Haruhi figma is basically the same, except she has short sleeves and comes with new accessories. The new accessories include the triangular thing from the SOS clubroom, a digital camera, a new arm band (not sure what it says, but it has the kanji for “name” in it), some hands and my favorite: her ponytail! She’s so damn cute XD.

Makina Hoshimura.

I haven’t watched or read Shikabane Hime, but I have them waiting for me to watch/read as soon as I have time. But I went ahead and bought her cuz she looks so sexy and she has some guns XD.

Altho Makina looks sexy, the main reason I bought her was cuz of her two Uzis. She also comes with two gun blasts to add to the tip of the Uzis to make them look like they’re firing, an extra face and some hands. For some reason, it feels like I’m missing some hands, cuz when I opened the box, she only had 6 in her hand holder, while all my other figmas have eight.

And speaking of hands, I noticed something interesting about Makina’s. Let’s take a look.

If you take a good look, Makina’s hands don’t have the balls at the tips, but instead, are just straight. This allows for the hands to be swapped out easily. This is a big improvement imo cuz I won’t be scared about breaking them whenever I take them out or put them in. But this could end up being a problem if there isn’t enough friction to keep them in the sockets.

That’s it for now, but I’ll be getting a few more by the end of this month/beggining of June. Also, I’ll be get my Miku figma in about 12 days, and I’ll be sure to review her along with the Miku nendo that I got yesterday at that time. I’ll also be getting three new nendos, the Haruhi bunny girl nendos that were exclusive to Wonder Festival in ‘07 along with the froggie Mikuru nendo puchi.
